It’s a proven fact that you become like the people you surround yourself with. If you surround yourself with skaters better than you, it’s almost guaranteed that you too will become a better skateboarder.

The next best thing would be to watch skate videos. Watch your favorite pro skaters and study how they skate. You could also slow videos down frame by frame to learn certain tricks. A few pro skaters did this when they started out.
